ACTIVA is an esthetic, moisture‑friendly, bioactive composite
ACTIVA BioACTIVE‑RESTORATIVE delivers all the advantages of glass ionomers in a strong, resilient, resin matrix that will not chip or crumble. It chemically bonds to teeth; seals against microleakage; releases calcium, phosphate, and fluoride; is more bioactive than glass ionomers; and is more durable and fracture resistant than composites.
A Decade of Success
ACTIVA debuted in 2014 at the Chicago Midwinter Meeting. Since that time, the material has been used clinically for millions of restorations. Each of those restorations are still actively supporting tooth health today. Additionally, ACTIVA has been intensely studied in the domestic and global research community. It continues to demonstrate its ability to support apatite formation, help remineralize tooth structure, and help defend against microleakage—the leading cause of restorative failure.
